For PACE, 2014 has proven to be a major year in terms of progress and milestones, most of
which are covered in this issue.
The appointment of our new Chairman Khun Kraithip Krairiksh brings a new standard of
professionalism and knowledge to our board, and we are proud to include an interview
with him in this issue.
PACE will embark on a new chapter, with global expansion as a result of acquiring brand
Dean & DeLuca U.S.A. covered in this issue.
Construction of our MahaNakhon and MahaSamutr developments continues on schedule,
and we look at some of the suppliers and challenges for both properties.
We have successfully opened the first phase of MahaNakhon, the retail component called
MahaNakhon CUBE which is located adjacent to BTS Chongnonsi. Featuring Bangkok’s
finest gourmet dining experience, CUBE is literally a ‘taste’ of our development with famed
brands such as VOGUE Lounge and Dean & DeLuca open, while as we go to print, L’Atelier
de Joël Robuchon is now in pre-opening sequence. Sales of our residential portion at
MahaNakhon look likely to reach 70% within year end, and it has been hugely rewarding
to receive the recognition of our peers, with The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Bangkok earning
Best Bangkok Luxury Condo at the Thailand Property Awards and Best Condo Development
in Southeast Asia at the Southeast Asia Property Awards recently.
Our MahaSamutr Country Club Hua Hin development is also progressing to plan, villas,
country club and other elements are now under construction with Thai Obayashi. We are
starting presales of country club memberships within this year; for those of you interested
