PACE MEDIA TRIP TO CHIANG RAI
In March, PACE arranged a media trip for Thai press and analysts to visit Chiang Rai, staying overnight to experience luxury in the northern part of Thailand. The purpose of the trip was to build closer relations with media as well as the analyst community, now that PACE is a listed company.
Following the short one hour flight to Chiang Rai, the highlight of the trip was a visit to Rai Chern Tawan, with Monk W. Wachirametee, where press were able to learn from the Monk his viewpoint for the role of journalism in modern Thai society, focusing on the need for ethics and morality.
Later in the evening, PACE CEO Sorapoj Techakraisri held a press meeting, with presentation of the company’s performance in 2013 as well as expectations for the property sector and PACE in the coming year. A lively question and answer session followed the video timelapse presentation of MahaNakhon’s construction (viewable here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBKlvV1K5l8 ) with a lot of questions focusing on when MahaNakhon will be completed (end of 2015), when PACE will recognize profits from the various PACE developments now under construction (also 2015) and specific updates relating to sales progress of MahaNakhon so far this year (1 billion in sales so far for MahaNakhon).
The evening then continued with a thank you party including a selection of northern Thai dishes as well as music and activities. The following day, press were then taken to Wat Rongkhun by Ajarn Chalermchai Kositpipat, a landmark in Chiang Rai, then lunch at the beautiful Bhupirom at Boon Rawd Farm, surrounded by tea plantations and views across the northern plains.
