Crystal Lagoons
Today’s quintessential resort experience frequently centers around
the swimming pool, where tropical weather meets a safe and secure
aquatic environment. As the leaders in oversized manmade
lagoons with high quality water, Crystal Lagoons provide large
scale swimming pools of previously unimagined size, using their own
patented technology which filters and maintains high standards of
water quality at a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions.
Starting from 1 project in 2006, Crystal Lagoons now have 38 operating
projects worldwide to prove their concept, along the way earning
awards for entrepreneurship and excellence. Global expansion
has seen them reaching beyond their homeland of Chile to Egypt,
Panama, Jordan, Peru, Mexico, Guatamala and Oman. Newly planned
developments are scheduled in Indonesia, China, Brazil and
Argentina, with over 200 projects in 50 countries around the globe.
Rather than using harmful chlorination or water treatment, the company
actively manages water quality using a worldwide telemetry system
which centrally manages the water quality, ensuring water literally
good enough to drink. The lagoon’s hydraulic and mechanical
systems are monitored, controlled and operated remotely by Crystal
Lagoons from its control center. This ensures that water quality is
maintained within its established parameters, guaranteeing high,
standardized quality no matter where in the world the lagoon is
located.
Patented in 160 countries, Crystal Lagoons boasts that their approach
uses 100X less chemicals, 50X less energy consumption in filtration
and reduces water consumption using their specially designed
equipment. Setting themselves a lofty target of 14,000 developments
over the next 20 years, Crystal Lagoons represents a substantial
change in the way resort water features are viewed, by reducing
environmental impact as well as operating costs.
Thailand’s warm weather and temperate weather makes it an
ideal location for the technology, MahaSamutr in Hua Hin will be
Asia’s first completed Crystal Lagoons development. With Crystal
Lagoons technology, Thailand now has a new element to offer
Thais and expats alike.
